History

The developer group subjected the project to an intensive redesign phase following the earthquake that struck the province in April 2016, which resulted in a significant increase in the initially planned construction area. Once the redesign process was completed in January 2018, construction work on the Manta Hospital Center resumed.

In 2019, the first phase of the project was inaugurated, welcoming nearly fifty medical specialists who joined the project, as well as the laboratory, physical rehabilitation, and sports medicine departments. In 2021, following some setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the second phase of the hospital was completed, welcoming new medical specialists and key medical units such as oncology, ophthalmology, and maxillofacial surgery.

In 2023, we are taking another step forward on our journey with the opening of our inpatient wards, operating rooms, intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department, gastroenterology unit, and the most modern imaging unit in the province.

In this way, we have built our dream: to become a comprehensive healthcare organization with a leadership presence in Manabí. We are now planning the third phase of the Manta Hospital Center, which will feature new, state-of-the-art medical facilities.
