Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Manta

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Manta Hospital Center provides specialized care to critically ill patients who require continuous medical monitoring and advanced life support. Our ICU is equipped with 12 beds featuring state-of-the-art multiparameter monitors, mechanical ventilators, automated infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring systems that allow for real-time monitoring of each patient’s vital signs.

The ICU team consists of board-certified intensivists, nurses specializing in critical care, and respiratory therapists who work in coordination around the clock. We care for patients with highly complex conditions, including post-surgical recovery from major surgeries, acute respiratory failure, multiple organ failure, severe sepsis, acute coronary syndromes, diabetic ketoacidosis, status epilepticus, and other conditions requiring constant monitoring and intensive treatment. We work closely with the hospital’s emergency department and operating rooms to ensure a rapid and safe transition when the patient requires it.
